Driven by a passion for their profession as cardiac surgeons and their true love for each life Mila and Javier, protagonists 'À coeur ouvert', in total harmony. During the day they heal together patients and their evenings enjoying the French nightlife, wild motorcycle rides, the generous love and romantic picnics on the water. But there is a downside to this shiny coin: the drinking of Javier. Under the cloak of love Mila covered the increasing addiction of her husband. If Javier is suspended due to drinking during working hours, worsening his penchant for booze. Mila meanwhile discovers that she is pregnant but does not feel that motherhood and plant an abortion. To make a new start, the couple decided to move to South America, to Javier's birth. While Mila is at work gets her husband in tipsy state the entire house empty. He wears his character to the warmth and compassion 'À coeur ouvert'. A surreal twilight world is beautifully displayed in a Venezuelan decor on the Orinoco river. Side note: For anyone the sight of blood intolerance, some scenes will not be as pleasant. Certainly not on the big screen.
