Those fancy double surname with that exotic vowel, the actress and filmmaker inherited from her grandparents, who were drawn from Denmark to France to build a new life there. In her still young career, Hansen-Løve already earned the necessary accolades for her work. So it was written by her and directed "Tout est pardonné" (2007), both for a Caméra d'Or at Cannes and was nominated for the César for best film and the film was then that she made - 'Le père de mes enfants' from 2009 - awarded the Special Jury Prize in the segment "Un certain regard", also in Cannes. In 2014 she made 'Eden', a film which she based loosely on the life of her older brother Sven, who spent years as a DJ on the road hammered in the international dance scene. It took three years to make the film, partly because it was not easy to obtain the rights to the music used in the film. Only when the influential French duo Daft Punk went over the line, the others followed.
Incidentally Sven hot in the movie Paul and he is played by Félix de Givry. Paul makes early nineties part with Stan (Hugo Conzelmann) of the Cheers duo, what with rave experiments and organizes parties. This provides modest successes, but not enough to live it. And so Paul bietst money to his mother (Arsinée Khanjian). Money that will go increasingly to his growing cocaine addiction, whether he buys the expensive drinks at the bar to decorate girls. That's his life. While the people around him to continue, grow up and enter a new phase in their lives, he lingers in his old surroundings. Two of his friends set up in 1994 and Daft Punk release their first single. The problems that novice DJs ran into, such as finding a suitable 'venue', or repeatedly adjusting the style of turn, outlined by Hansen-Løve in detail and all the colorful characters in which the 'scene' hung around his represented.
In Hollywood would the story of Paul's incipient success soon become a standard story about someone who comes from deep valleys to great heights and back. But Paul is content with his life, obviously do not have worldwide fame and stays nice twenty years of messing around at a modest level. He is someone who you really have, one after the other years have not seen it, you say he's changed a bit. Belle, here with conviction and passion put down by Gugu Mbatha-Raw has always grown in luxury and never felt differently than her white relatives and friends. The strength of the film lies over him in the way that Belle discovered that there lies a whole world behind riches in their own environment, and how she deals with that knowledge. Mbatha-Raw gets excellent resilience of veteran Wilkinson, with whom she performs extensive discussions about right and wrong, which they do both sincere effort to understand each other. Worthy, but without falling into moralizing sermons. It gives the film - which is also pretty standard, but well made with a predictable romance, competent but unspectacular acting and few notable exceptions - a huge depth. Nice gimmick! Darren Lynn Bousman - known for the "Saw" series - brings his new film '11 -11-11 'on the same date. That in itself is technically already figured out clever marketing, but Bousman goes one step further. The film is not only released in the cinema, but also on the same day on DVD and can also be requested via pay TV. Brilliant! Unfortunately, the film in question is impossible to categorize under that umbrella ....
The broken and jaded author Joseph Crone (Gibbs) has a traumatic past. His wife and son were burned alive. A horrible event with major consequences. Antidepressants now are Crones best friend. When his estranged brother calling from Spain which lies their father dying, Crone decides to find his dad. With great reluctance, because the atheist author can not handle his faithful family. Bousman has little confidence in his audience, because events - you've just seen - are repeated continuously orally. Atheism Crone, his traumatic past and his poor relationship with his family: everything is mapped out and several times discussed by the characters. '11 -11-11 'Often falls in repetition, and that ensures that the film will drag over time. Despite playing only 85 minutes!

He wears his character to the warmth and compassion 'À coeur ouvert'. A surreal twilight world is beautifully displayed in a Venezuelan decor on the Orinoco river. Side note: For anyone the sight of blood intolerance, some scenes will not be as pleasant. Certainly not on the big screen.

"An artist in crime 'killer calls himself in Agatha Christie's crime novel" And Then There Were None' in 1939. "It was my ambition to design a murder mystery that no one could solve," he writes in the epilogue of the book. "But no artist, I realize now, lives with art alone. There is a natural desire for recognition that is impossible to resist. "It's a quote that not only gives a glimpse into the mind of someone who commits the perfect crime, but it also goes to the heart of Christies writing. The Queen of Crime specialized in puzzle detectives who had put every reader astray. Many of her books were made into movies, some even frequent. "And Then There Were None" for the first time on the silver screen shows in 1945. Twenty years later director George Pollock found it necessary to make another version, this time under the title '10 Little Indians', after the dismal nursery rhyme that The film is told.
Are the ten victims in the story still stuck on a desert island, in '10 Little Indians' location is a luxury villa on a high mountain in the Austrian Alps, only accessible with a chairlift. Director George Pollock worked with magical material of Agatha Christie in his early sixties four 'Miss Marple' stories filmed. He was by producer Harry Alan Towers (which later produced two versions of '10 Little Indians', in 1974 and 1989) were asked to participate in the project. Both are in love with the story and rely entirely on the narrative power of Christie. They are of course right that the story itself is a very strong factor, but it also had some more attention should be paid to directing and production. Certainly compared to the 1945 version of René Clair looks '10 Little Indians' what sober and easy going, and it must especially the script. The only thing that really stands out is the whodunit-break, at the end of the film. And then there's the casting. It is a mixed group of people from all walks of life, just as the script dictates. The actors were in the sixties undoubtedly very famous, but not their names tell us a lot more. That of course does not matter as long as the acting is good. And that is not at all the case. The older generation fulfills properly. Wilfrid Hyde-White, Stanley Holloway (which a year earlier shone together in 'My Fair Lady') and Dennis Price (Kind Hearts and Coronets) convincing in their roles. The young generation, however, is regularly embarrass tars. Fabian, a teen idol from the fifties and sixties, is so excruciatingly bad that you're almost glad he's the first death. Daliah Lavi put her role very thick and Shirley Eaton (the golden lady in 'Goldfinger') may be clean image, she acts very stiff. Precisely she and Hugh O'Brien (mainly known for westerns) gain - primarily because of their burgeoning love - by far the most screen time. An unfortunate choice when you consider that there are much better actors were available.
Nevertheless '10 Little Indians' worthwhile. Not as a first introduction to the well-known story. Before that can better be retrieved from the version 1945 of René Clair. But as simple entertainment meets the film just fine. And that is mainly thanks to Agatha Christie. For what it's still nice to know what to expect and then be surprised anyway.

The picture of the little prince on the odd shaped planet, against a backdrop of a beautiful starry sky is as iconic as the image of the rocket in the eye of the moon George Melies. The book by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry is one of the most famous children's books in the world, but like similar love to read children's books the booklet will also be cherished by adults.
Mark Osborne (Kung Fu Panda) is such a fan and took the seemingly impossible task to film his favorite book. A one-to-one translation is not made, it would produce a short film, but with "The Little Prince" ("The Little Prince") Osborne has made a wonderful tribute to a fantastic, timeless book.

An unnamed called girl of about nine moves with her single mother in an orderly neighborhood. Her mother's greatest wish is that the girl is given a place at a prestigious school in that neighborhood, and because the exam just that little bit different than was planned, it seems the only solution. The mother has her daughter's whole future planned. Using tight schedules must be achieved that objective. In the summer the girl is left alone, her mother is busy at work, and so the child plenty of time to study and work on her to do list. When the girl discovered the eccentric-looking house next to them is occupied by an even excentriekere old man, however, they get distracted quickly. His old plane in the garden talking to her imagination, and in no time he let her get acquainted with the story of the little prince.
To indicate a clear separation of these two stories is using different animation techniques. CGI for the history of the stern-behaved girl, that under no circumstances friendships may close and certainly not with those weird old neighbor, and delicately beautiful stop-motion animation of paper cut or clay modeled characters for the story of the small Prince. Lovers of similar animated films of Tim Burton, Henry Selick or Wes Anderson's "Fantastic Mr. Fox 'will love these scenes. The story of the girl feels the CGI as we know from numerous competing blockbusters a bit like been there done that, but do speak enough craftsmanship and attention to detail, so that "The Little Prince" as a whole still impresses.
Too bad that "The Little Prince" still sometimes unbalanced - especially as regards the somewhat predictable story with the young girl. The film is a tad too long, a few times you expect to see all the end credits roll over the screen, but then comes another piece. Hoe doen die Scandinaviërs dat toch in hun thrillers? In twee à drie scènes wordt een sfeer neergezet, ligt het mysterie op tafel en zit je als kijker middenin het verhaal. In ‘De fazantenmoordenaars’- de verfilming van het tweede boek van de Deen Jussi Adler-Olsen – is dat niet anders.
Scène 1: een rechercheur wordt ’s avonds aangesproken door een verwarde man die hem vraagt waarom hij zijn dossier niet heeft bekeken. Scène 2: die man is dood en zijn dossier blijkt te gaan om de dood van twee kinderen, 20 jaar eerder. Scène 3: de dader van die moorden heeft al bekend en zijn straf uitgezeten. Waarom bleef die man dan op een dader jagen?
Die paar scènes voldoen aan de eenvoudige, haast clichématige voorwaarden voor een detective, maar het is genoeg om ‘De fazantenmoordenaars’ met een heerlijke vaart te laten vertrekken. De nukkige rechercheur Carl Mørck duikt met zijn collega, goedzak Assad, toch in de zaak en stuit al snel op betrokkenheid van een oldboysnetwork van een elitekostschool. Met een simpele visuele ingreep – kleur, licht en zonnig ten opzichte van grauw, donker en bewolkt in de rest van de film – wordt vervolgens soepel teruggeblikt op die schooltijd. Regisseur Mikkel Nørgaard houdt de hoge snelheid lang vol. Niet door actie, maar door de onophoudelijke stroom aan informatie: elke scène staat in het teken van het verhaal en bevat een plotwending of een nieuwe aanwijzing. ‘De fazantenmoordenaars’ is daarom het best te vergelijken met een pageturner à la Dan Brown.
Net als in die boeken gaat de vaart wel ten koste van de diepgang, want er is weinig aandacht aan de karakters geschonken. In vluchtige schetsen wordt een vrouw neergezet als zielig of een man als een robuuste klootzak, maar het blijft vaak eendimensionaal. Dat stoort gek genoeg niet, al doet het afbreuk aan de intensiteit van de film. Zo is het jammer dat de twee rechercheurs geen fijn duo vormen. Hun houterige interactie voegt niks toe en voorkomt dat je met ze mee kunt leven.
In de tweede helft van de film blijkt bovendien dat de plot niet lekker in elkaar valt. De opbouwde spanning slibt langzaam weg en de flashbacks lijken soms een eigen leven te leiden. Ze komen op willekeurige momenten langs en sluiten vaak niet aan op de aanwijzingen die door de rechercheurs worden gevonden. Het is vooral te danken aan de nieuwsgierig makende eerste scènes dat ‘De fazantenmoordenaars’, ondanks zijn zwakke punten, toch een lekkerwegkijk filmervaring is.
